Founded by Ashley Scott, the mission, and vision of the company is to promote quality and timeless music through memorable events. Through our relationships in Entertainment, we are able to help creative and business-minded people in their journey to the top.
What We Do
Philash Entertainment Group has produced several events in the Philadelphia area including a musical tribute to Phyllis Hyman featuring Jean Carne and has worked with the Family of the Dell East to help its DEMBI (Dell East Music Business Institute) Program. In 2007, Philash Entertainment Group began partnering with the Artists United. This strong partnership has resulted in stellar production of events and sold-out shows including a Tribute to A Sophisticated Lady, which featured female vocalists from Philadelphia, New York, and Washington D.C singing the music of the late Phyllis Hyman, The United We Band Jam Session, The Soulful Sounds Series, The Songbook Series, and Her-Story- A Salute to Women In Music.
Our company has contributed to many successful events and concerts with such artists and stars as Teena Marie, Kindred The Family Soul, The Three Degrees, Marcus Johnson, Frank McComb, Will Downing, Jean Carne, Vivian Green and The O’Jays.

About The Founder
Ashley Scott was born with a passion for music. Inspired by the music in his parents’ record collection and talented family members including his aunt, Helen Scott of The Three Degrees, Ashley decided to pursue a music degree at Howard University. This key decision has opened doors for this Philadelphia native and has contributed to his over 15 years of success in the entertainment business.
In 2000, Ashley formed his own entertainment production and promotion company called Philash Entertainment Group. Philash Entertainment Group has produced several events in the Philadelphia area including two sold-out musical tributes to Phyllis Hyman featuring the legendary Jean Carn, 2nd Annual Unsung Heroes Awards Ceremony with the Black Entertainment & Music Association (BEMA), The United We Band Jam Session with The Artists United, The Soulful Sounds Series, and The Songbook Series. His previous experience includes working as a talent coordinator with The International Association of African American Music (I.A.A.A.M) for its Emerging Artists Showcase with one of his mentors and I.A.A.A.M President Dyana Williams. He also began working at the Dell Music Center (formerly the Robin Hood Dell East) in Philadelphia where he was the venue’s Promotions Coordinator for 13 seasons. .In 2004, Ashley co-founded The Artists United and became Director of the Philadelphia Chapter where he assists with planning entertainment educational initiatives for their monthly Networking and Entertainment Seminar “The AU Solutions.” In addition to starting Philash Entertainment Group, Ashley served as a staff writer for Maximum Watts, an online magazine out of Washington D.C., where he has written features on Ralph Tresvant of New Edition, Christopher Williams, The Sound Of Philadelphia., and Marvin Gaye. In 2009, Ashley partnered with Maximum Watts for “WHW Rocks,” a television show based in Washington D.C. His current clients include International Jazz Keyboardist Marcus Johnson, The Prince of Sophisticated Soul Will Downing, and the world renown female vocal trio The Three Degrees.
Ashley is a voting member and Board of Governor of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences Philadelphia chapter. Ashley enjoys mentoring and sharing his knowledge with new artists. Ashley earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Business at Howard University.
